A month or so ago, I posted that I was coming to London in a tour package, and was under the impression we were going to have a few open days after seeing some of the main sights. Whoops, I was misinformed. We’re only going to be in London a few days.
This site outlines the tour, and it looks like on the 3rd day we’re taking off for Wales, then looping up to Scotland and coming back to London on day 9. So that means the only London evenings available to me are days 2, 3 and 9, which are the dates of March 31, April 1, and April 7. You guys were planning on that Saturday night April 3rd. You up for doing a pub crawl on a Thursday or Wednesday night instead? Or, we could just hang out at one pub till you need to leave for the night. I don’t need to get totally shitfaced.
On day 2 & 3 of the tour we’re staying at Hilton London Metropole, and on day 9 we’ll be at Novotel London West. Then we fly back home on day 10.
Would if I could mate. I don’t actually live in London, so there’s a combination of needing time off work and child minding to sort out. The 7th falls within the Easter vacation, so both problems are solved pretty easily
…However I will be in our fair capital, from Wednesday until Saturday afternoon, however as this is a University trip, we’ll be seeing shows every night, and my daytime schedule’s pretty tight as well…

The last I’ll be able to check on the SDMB will be this Monday. You wouldn’t want to deny a visitor to your country a chance to get sloppy drunk at your fine pubs, would you?
