Long Covid

Anyhow, here’s a quickie on long COVID with links to some interesting research.

Is there any data re: the overlap between long covid and vaccinations?

I suspect vaccs are too new for folk to have developed long COVID AFTER having been vacced. But I thought I’ve seen suggestions (no idea how/whether reliable) that vaccs have helped folk experiencing long COVID.

Early indications are encouraging.

From the UK, this just in:

About one in five people have symptoms of long Covid five weeks after an initial infection and one in seven after 12 weeks, an Office of National Statistics (ONS) survey suggests.

It estimates that 1.1 million people were affected in the UK in the four weeks from 6 February.

About 20% of people said ongoing symptoms limited their day-to-day activities a lot.

The article has a couple of interesting charts on: the most prevalent symptoms present five weeks after (presumed) infection date; and prevalence in different age groups five weeks after (presumed) infection date.
