'Long Haired Hare' (1949): Opera singer identified?

Shutorev died in Bergen, Norway on September 9th, 1948 while he was on a tour of several European countries with the follow-up group of the famous Comedian Harmonists. Their previous second tenor who had emigrated to the US, had decided to found a new ensemble after the war and Shutorev was part of that (as well as Jack Cathcart and Murray Pollack and a few others). Unfortunately he (Shutorev) died of complications from acute stomach ulcers while they were touring Norway.
In most German publications on the group, his name is spelled as “Shuteroff”.
His unfortunate death led to a brief reunification of two of the original Comedian Harmonists, since he was replaced for the rest of the tour and on the records they made in 1949, by Harry Frommermann, the founder of the original ensemble in 1928.

Obviously I would very much like to talk to @mef1906!
