Wow! I started a zombie thread! So it only seems appropriate to mention that Stephen & Tabitha King married on January 7, 1971, having a 44 year marriage that has survived parenthood, extremely poverty, sudden fame and extreme wealth, and Stephen’s alcohol & drug addiction and near fatal accident.
Annie- the Kings have been married 43 years. 
Not sure I seen Don Rickles mentioned yet, if so, I apologize, just did a quick scan. Don married late at age 39. Not sure if it was her first or not.
Malden died shortly after this post in 2009, having been married for 70 years and 7 months.
Art Linkletter died in 2010, and was married for 74 years, 6 months.
Norman and Peggy Lloyd hold the record, at 75 years and 2 months, set on her death in 2011.
Norman Lloyd, best known as Dr. Auschlander on St. Elsewhere, is still alive, and will turn 100 on November 8, 2014.
**Alice Cooper **has been married to his wife Sheryl since 1976, making 38 years. (They did have a brief breakup from late 1983- mid 1984–not sure that counts, since she left him due to his drug addiction and I don’t think either of them had another relationship during this time).

As it happens, we just watched it last night! It’s great. Doesn’t go quite as far as I’d hoped (it ends in the mid '80s for the most part) but it’s well done and got some fascinating stories about his early years. I think you’ll love it!

Michael, former King of Romania has been married to his wife since 1948 (A Greek Orthodox ceremony, the Roman Catholic wouldn’t grant a disposition until 1966. Michael is also one of three surviving heads of state from World War II

Thanks, Earl, for posting this. It led me to find this article in Varietyabout Lloyd on his 100th birthday. He’s still working, and will appear in Judd Apatow’s next movie, Trainwreck, coming out next summer, in which he will play, by his own admission, “a lecherous old man.”

In his autobiography, he admitted he cheated on her once. She found out, was heart-broken, and stopped speaking to him but wouldn’t tell him why. He knew, and felt awful. To apologize, he bought her a ridiculously expensive sterling silver centerpiece she had wanted. She forgave him and they never spoke of his infidelity.
Years later, George overheard Gracie in the kitchen speaking to Bob Hope’s wife. “I wish George would cheat on me again; I need a new centerpiece.”

The saddest union was of Spencer Tracy and his wife (together over 40 yrs) but only because his wife was Catholic and refused a divorce. That didn’t stop him from being with Katherine and living with her too.
HM Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, already mentioned twice, were both famous celebrities from birth, having been born as a princess and prince.
93-year-old William Schallert was been married since 1949 (at least 66 years).
