I was watching the LOTR:FOTR DVD the other day, and I noticed that even discounting the fan club credits, the normal film credits seem fairly long. The Matrix Reloaded seemed to have long credits, but that may have been anticpation of the Revolutions preview making the wait seem long. Anyway, my curiosity was peaked. What movie has the longest credit sequence?
It will probably turn out to not even be close, but I’d vote for “It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world”.
It just seems to go on forever and ever…
Well if they mentioed everyone that was in Gandhi the premiere would still be running
In relation to the length of the movie? Bambi vs. Godzilla.
When Matrix Reloaded opened, several articles mentioned that it had the longest credits ever. Can’t swear that this is true, of course, without exact times for the contenders. But no film made until recently could possibly be in the running. You just never, ever saw ten minutes of credits until the digital age.
I would be surprised if The Matrix or Fellowship of the Ring - or some sequel thereof - was the winner.
According to IMDb, Who Framed Roger Rabbit was the record holder at one point, it’s ver yinvolved animation surely had a lot to do with it. It doesn’t give a length, but I think the credits ran for something like 9 minutes.
What, nobody remembers… Superman…?
Damned credits went on forever. Listed everything!
“…Cheerios by: General Mills”
Yes, the animation in Roger Rabbit WAS ver yinvolved. Very involved. :smack: :smack: :smack:
