I’m looking for a current book that will teach me a bit more about the mideast situation. This one looks pretty good, but I’m worried that it’s a bit too much on the liberal side - I’m all for hearing about some eyewitness accounts of the middle east, but I’d rather not have them overly peppered with “Bush is evil” type stuff. The fact that this book starts by re-hashing the Florida voting debacle worries me some.
Friedman is def. not just a Bush basher, he was pretty much in favor of this war (or a war something like this). He has another book “From Beirut to Jerusalem” which might be more what you are looking for.
