Looj gutter cleaning robot

From the good folks who brought us the Roomba and Scooba. Anybody tried one of these? Goofy name, but it looks completely awesome, and for a hunnerd bucks, beats hiring somebody to clean your gutters, provided it really works.

I looked at that a while ago. Does it go around corners? That seems to be the kicker… if I have to get up on a ladder every time my gutter turns a corner, it’s no good to me.

I hate gutters anyway. I’m just gonna pull 'em off the house and say the hell with it.

I haven’t had need for a Roomba (too much pet hair) or a Scooba (no pool) but this is something I would DEFINITELY be able to use! Cool!

The site doesn’t address the question, but I’d guess it doesn’t go around corners. It’s still a lot less ladder-climbing than cleaning by hand, though–if you can go up right at a corner, you could get two sides from there.

BTW, ZipperJJ, the Scooba is a floor-mopping thing, not a pool-cleaning thing. Also, I’ve heard from people with pets that the Roomba still does a great job, you just have to empty it more often. I’d love to have one, but my house is too freakin’ cluttered.

Well, if anyone wants to pony up for a Roomba for me, I guess I will oblige them

I watched the videos on the site and it does not claim to go around corners. It travels up and down one length of gutter, and you control it with a remote (make it go back and forth). For someone with a simple A-frame roof (one gutter in front, one in back) this is most optimal. Even for someone like me who has 4 lengths of gutter (one on each side of the house), it still seems cool.

Cleaning gutters is the most important thing I put off :frowning:
