Looking for a child that has been crocodiled, Asian folklore comic-style

Multiple years back, I saw some cover images for an Asian horror/action type comic published in the local language maybe around the 1980s. Think something like in the Philippines in Tagalog, though nit necessarily either of those specifically, just something like that.

The two covers I have in mind (published years apart) both feature a creature from local folklore that is basically like a human/crocodile centaur— a crocodile body but at the neck it becomes the upper half of a human. On one of the covers it is a little girl hybrid crying and being bullied by human children. On the other, it is an adult woman hybrid leading crocodiles to attack humans. I thought about at the time how it looked like the second cover was a sequel story to the first (but they were probably unconnected). Both comics had the word for the folklore creature on the cover.

I’m hoping to find those covers again, and more info on the folklore creature. The creature name, the comic title, any tidbit would be helpful. It crosses my mind every once in a while (years apart), I search, and come up with nothing. This time I tried ChatGPT but it wasn’t helpful either.

In your online searches, I’m sure you have already encountered Jake the Alligator Man.
