A Doper wrote about his dog several years ago, and I’ve never forgotten the story. But I can’t seem to find the thread.
The story involved a large dog, possibly a Newfoundland but I’m not sure. I think it was black. The poster wrote that it was big and goofy and seemed always to be on the verge of tripping over its own feet. It was a big and friendly dog. One day while out walking, a strange dog was about to attack the Doper. The big goofy dog raised its hackles for the first and only time, growled a warning, and then snapped the attacking dog’s neck with a single bit of his powerful jaws. Then he was all like, ‘What? Play now?’
The thread was a heartwarming memorial to a faithful friend, and I’d like to read it again. Can someone who remembers more detail link to the thread?
