Looking for a good novel that explores the world of golf

I’m looking for a good novel that explores the world of golf (and gets into technicalities of the game) but optimally explores interesting philosophical themes.

Dan Jenkins was a sportswriter that wrote sports based wry novels (Semi-Tough may be his most famous one, set in the worldof pro football). I was certain he’s written some golf novels, so I went looking.
