Looking for a slide scanner...

As the title says, I’m looking for a slide scanner. I have lots of 35m slides, some 40 years old, that I’d like to digitize. I have a scanner for photos, so this would be a dedicated unit. I’ve been looking at some on Amazon and the reviews are conflicting. I have Adobe Lightroom and Elements 12 so built in corrections are not required but might be good if it speeds the process.

Here, in no particular order, are some that caught my eye:
Wolverine F2D20 20 MegaPixels 35mm to Digital Converter
Jumbl High-Resolution 14MP Scanner/Digitizer
ION OMNI SCAN Stand-Alone Image and Slide Scanner
Epson B11B198011 Perfection V600 Photo Scanner
ION Film 2 SD 35mm Slide and Negative Scanner

Some of these do negatives as well as slides, that’s not a requirement but it’s no show stopper either.

I’d like to keep the cost around $200 or below.

Thanks for any advice.

Slide scanners in that price range are invariably awful.

You might pick up a used Nikon on ebay. It’ll be several generations old but much better quality.

I’d look at using a service. Unless you have spare time to burn it’ll probably work out much better all round.

The Epson is the only one that’s worth anything.

Well, I am retired so my time is free.
I had an Epson flat scanner years back that did slides, but it was pretty slow and a pita to use. I’ll check eBay and see what’s there.

Since this is a hardware question, moved to IMHO (from Cafe Society).

I figured Photography was Cafe Society :smack:

Thanks
