the situation I am looking for is when one party in a relationship (any relationship not just a romantic one) where one party thinks the roles just reversed when the reality is that the relationship was always reversed they just didnt know it.
I dont know if thats a good explanation or not. say for instance you think I work for you then one day I get a promotion and now you work for me only the real truth is I was always the boss (for whatever reason maybe I was learning the position before taking over or maybe I was evaluating you from the position under you or whatever)
so thats the term I am looking for, one party thinks roles have reversed while the other already knows that was the situation from the beginning.
