Looking for an online Intro to CS course

Hi there!

I’m really excited, I’ve just been accepted in an MS in Information Systems at CUNY Brooklyn. Seeing as I did a Liberal Arts degree first, they of course want to put me in remedial CS for fancy-pants Liberal Arts majors. Obviously I need this, but I was wondering if you guys would have any info on some kind of online course I could take to perhaps allow me to skip it? They seem to have liberal policies (sufficient experience is all that’s required) and I want to see if I can get it out of the way. I’ve got absolutely NOTHING to do for the next month, so having something to do would be great too.
Here is a link to the course I’d like to supplant, although I read in another spot it would be C++…

Any ideas? I’m expecting to pay something for it. At the very least it will be good practice, and if I feel confident enough I’ll apply to skip it, because I’d prefer to get it done a bit more quickly.

I haven’t looked at them, but MIT has many or most of its courses on-line. It wouldn’t be for credit, but maybe you can learn enough to place out of the class.

There’s also distance education universities such as Alberta’s Athabasca University. I don’t know if the university being Canadian and you being American (and in Denmark, apparently, unless you’ve already moved back for your studies) would be a problem. I believe this university is well-considered enough, and you probably could take the class for credit. There are probably similar universities in the US too.
