Looking for an online Salumeria

Two or three times a month, my wife and I will make a dinner out some fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, some kind of dry sausage and bread. The stores around here have a decent variety of salami/sopressata/sausage, but nothing as good as what we get at some local restaurants. Does anyone have any good experience buying stuff like this online? There seems to be an endless number of vendors, so I’m hoping someone comes along as says, “So and so is the BEST, Jerry… the BEST!”

I’ve had nothing but great stuff and great service from the Tasty Salty Pig Parts people.

Salumi which is a Seattle institution (and owned by Mario Batali’s dad) has been an awesome gift many times and I just email them my order and they ship it on Wednesdays. A bit spendy absolutely, but just amazing stuff and a small business to boot.

I’ll second Salumi. Amazingly good stuff, but you have to plan ahead, and they don’t have everything all the time. But well worth the price.

Both of these options have potential, but it looks like you need to buy a significant quantity. I was hoping for being able to try smaller sizes of a variety of types of sausage.

At Salumi, you do need to buy a whole salami at once (which is between 1/2-1#, depending on the salami). But it does last for months, so it’s not like it goes bad before you eat it.
