So, my workday has been extended for the next few months. As a result I’m not walking in the door in the evening until 7pm. In an effort to make it really easy to have dinner freshly cooked when I walk in the door, I’ve ordered this one-level, 3-section steamer. Each section can be pre-programmed with a different time and set so that all sections will finish at the same time. It’s gotten good reviews on amazon, so if it works as well as everyone says, it’ll be a tremendous boon to our household. I’m looking forward to being able to load everything up and putting it in the fridge and just having my daughter take it out and set the timers when she gets home from school.
However, the only thing I’ve ever steamed is broccoli, on the stovetop. I’m at a loss for finding good recipes. I know fish can be steamed, but what about the other types of meat - turkey, chicken, pork, beef?
Does anyone have any cookbook recommendations or recipes?
