looking for information on nazi's mobile gas chambers

Hi there,

I do live in Santiago de chile, and read somewhere that the inventor of the mobile gas chambers (basically truck that redirected their exhaust fumes to the interior) … was nearly a neighbour of mine (of course after he left germany in 45).

does anybody have any information on those gas chambers?

thx
alfred

Mobile gas chambers were not that common. Before the introduction of Zyklon B, several of the extermination camps ran gasoline engines outside chambers acting as gas chambers and ducted the exhaust into them. (I do not know whether they had stationary engines or simply backed up trucks with hoses.) One camp where I do remember mention of piping gas into the back of (a) truck(s) in motion was Chelmo, so you might search on information about that camp.
