Looking for RCA to VGA cables, in a store.

I’m looking to use my computer monitor as a television. It will be hooked up through a tivo… unfortunately, my monitor only has a VGA port.

I saw some RCA to VGA adapters online and they’re exactly what I’m looking for. However, I’d like to run to the store and pick them up today instead of waiting for shipping (I’m not that impatient, just about to hit the road traveling)

Where have you seen these cables/adapter in store? I couldn’t find them on best buy or radioshack’s website…
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Does the Tivo have RGB component video output? - that’s the only kind of VGA to RCA cable I’ve seen - if you plug that into a composite video source, it’s just not going to work.

To expand on what Mangetout is saying, if your RCA jacks on the Tivo are Red, Green and Blue (a component video signal) the cable you’re looking at will work. If they are Red, White and Yellow (composite video and 2 audio channels) you’re out of luck.

I have not seen such a cable in a store anywhere, and had to order mine online.

I’m also looking to connect my laptop(has only VGA port) to TV.
My RCA Jacks are Red, Green and Blue.

Can someone please tell me where can I get these cables in store.
And what cable works to connect my laptop to tv.
