Read an SF novel several years ago (sometime in the 2000-2010 range, I think) and would like to get a copy again. As best as I can recall, it was about some advertising guy who, in an attempt to further his career, intersects with a local gang (in New York?) who features into his latest ad campaign, and quite successfully. I think the title was something like ‘Bodekker’s (something)’, but I could be totally whiffing even that vague title. Any help?
And of course I find it within 2 minutes of posting this. Boddecker’s Demons, for those who are curious.

What did you like about it that you want to read it twenty years later?
We’ll leave it open. It wil probably just fade away.
At first glance it sounds pretty interesting:
Hmmm, what made me remember this one? Y’know, I don’t know. It’s not a contender for The Great American Novel. It’s not even an old favorite of mine. It just randomly popped into my head. Obviously, I didn’t try very hard to find it (or maybe didn’t even try) before posting here, since I immediately found it afterward just on the strength of remembering the ‘Boddekker’ from the title, even misspelled. My brother lent it to me, along with Jennifer Government, another fun read about corporate advertising affecting our future.
If you want a classic about a world dominated by advertising gone mad, try ‘The Space Merchants’ by Pohl and Kornbluth.
It was written in 1953 and is extremely dated in some ways, but still very entertaining.
