Here’s a total shot in the dark. This is the model of jump drive I have. I lost the cap last week in a lecture hall, and I’m sure it’s gotten swept up and tossed by now. Is there any type of place I could go just to get a new cap? Or am I pretty much SOL?
No dice. Maybe if I periodically go to the library or someplace where other students are breaking out their jump drives I’ll find a lost cap to replace it with.
Something very funny to me is how at the lab I used to work at had a couple downright ancient jump drives (hot damn it’s fun to call them that :D), all of which still had their caps. I was always real fastidious about keeping track of them. Only four months since I got this thing and as soon as I let someone else use it they vanish the damned cap.
Seems we had a miscommunication; sorry. I found generic caps all over the place. I was looking specifically for memorex caps (yeah, I’m picky like that). This drive is a bit of a pain in the ass anyway with that U3 crap. Fortunately there’s a means to uninstall it.
Thanks for the advice, Joey P. I’ll give that a try.
