Yeah, it just seems that this school is full of them. It’s like every guy in my sons class is an out of control child. (There were some kids that were so bad that they had to come to school late and leave school early because he couldn’t be trusted around other kids.
I had done some poking around through renters guides when I was out there, Trin has been talking with customers and checking on the net, and Driftwood (Remember him? :)) knows someone out there that is the property manager for a couple of a apartment buildings. The rent doesn’t seem unreasonable. For a town house in a city just out side of Toronto, you can pay up to $1500 a month. (Not including utilities.) So the rent that we have seen is better than what we can get here, and still be pretty close to a city.
From what I saw of the traffic, and comparing it to what I drive through every day, it would be a walk in the park.
SW, definately. If you go further up Bow Trail, around the Rosscarrock area, you will find lots of nice places for not so much. There isn’t an LRT line up there, but there’s great transit.
Feather Lou, Drftwood (A friend of mine in Calgary who moved there from Toronto) said that the 401 in Toronto at rush hour makes Deerfoot Trail look like an abandoned country lane. (At it’s worst.)
I’m partial to the north end of town, myself. North central (Huntington, Beddington), but northwest is nice, too. A little more expensive than the SW, but I find the traffic is better. Kwyjibo, if you’re used to TO traffic, you won’t have a problem with Calgary. OH, I should warn you that Calgary drivers come to complete stops at the end of merge lanes instead of merging. Dread Pirate Jimbo just about creamed somebody doing that when he moved back here from Ontario. Heck, I just about creamed somebody doing that when I moved here from Saskatoon - Saskatoon drivers may be slow and farmerlike, but at least they usually keep moving.
