Was in a Home Depot about a year ago. All checked out and leaving with my bag of parts for whatever I was working on. Followed a guy out that had a very expensive saw in his cart.

He would not stop for the receipt checker, got out of the store, abandoned the cart and ran.

Receipt checker sighed and started to wheel cart back in the store. We chatted for a minute. I was right there. Could have been a witness. I’m not going to get into a fight or anything. I would try to protect the receipt checker though if she was attacked.

Boy the MAGAs are really harping on the wave or looting anarchy. And locally, they blame the DG, Gascon for it.

One thing that gets me is when the Police report some perp has been arrested and released on bali, they call it “Gascons catch and release”, not realizing the Bail is a Constitutional Right (in most cases). Morons. They think they are patriots when they dont even know their own Bill of Rights.

Wasn’t there a situation a while ago where a Public Radio station celebrated July 4 by reading the Declaration of Independence, and got complaints that they were too lefty for reading that woke nonsense?

There’s definitely a story circulating about pastors who preached things like Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and getting chastised for being “woke.”

It was the result of having multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching — “turn the other cheek” — [and] to have someone come up after to say, “Where did you get those liberal talking points?” And what was alarming to me is that in most of these scenarios, when the pastor would say, “I’m literally quoting Jesus Christ,” the response would not be, “I apologize.” The response would be, “Yes, but that doesn’t work anymore. That’s weak.” And when we get to the point where the teachings of Jesus himself are seen as subversive to us, then we’re in a crisis.
