Well now. Since I last posted to this thread, looters have: smashed down walls with a forklift to get at jewelry, held up a doctor at a hospital at gunpoint for drugs, and fired shots at a military helicopter trying to evacuate people from the Superdome.
Shoot looters on sight. This is the largest breakdown of order in US history. It will take years to repair the damage, if ever, and months to put down the riots by the creatures that are still in the city. If they survive the cholera and plague that now seems inevitable.
Still think they are just “stealing garbage,” Dio?
I was riding the lift to work this morning staring blankly at one of those TV screens they have in the lifts these days. One report noted that (good news) water from Lake Ponchartrain was no longer pouring into New Orleans. The bad news is that the reason the water has abated is because the water level in the city is now equal to that of the lake :smack:
This just shook me. New Orleans is a mess. I’m still astonished at the extent of the damage.
Perhaps Dio can now explain how those people would have died anyway, and hence the murders are victimless. Perhaps Askia can qualify rape because it isn’t necessarily “violent,” but just, you know, run-of-the-mill non-violent forced sexual intercourse.
