which is why i am not going to vote astral even to save my own ass. the only problem is that if we have a last minute vote switch and i end up swinging town gets to go back to the “astral conundrum” (patent pending) manana.
sorry folks i just don’t vote for folks that i think are town.
and yeh, there is very little that town “know” but if town can only operate in an environment of perfect knowledge then what is the point. i have tried to make some conclusions about folks based on information that i do “know”. the only thing is that it is not perfect knowledge. i surmised that ed and i were kind of half assed masons, being able to cross confirm based on what he posted. and in total frankness i think at some point he posted that he thought that was a half baked idea or didn’t agree with that conclusion or something along those lines.
and seriously, meeko i don’t think it reasonable to expect that every player have the same level of knowledge that every other player has. to be honest i like playing niller and being free to just go about the game rather than worry about how each post is received. blindly ignorant and just trying to work it out individually.
and here is a question for the crowd. what would it look like if you gave a certain subset of players information about mod provided cover pm’s to a scum team?
OAOW’s reason of record was that Natlaw was vouching for AR, and that swayed his vote away from AR. This is a reasonable position, because it allows time for a test of the claimed investigator’s ability without prejudging the results.
You assume wrong. I was asking about a vanilla Townie, which Chronos has never claimed to be - right from the outset he admitted he had a power role.
No, I’m taling about Red Skeezix. Please answer from the point of view of Red Skeezix aka Eomer, Vanilla Townie. Thank you.
[quotenat had information about a player, right? and got a game name. i have never seen that mechanic with a watcher/tracker. typically the reveal is more along the lines of “the person you investigated did blah blah blah”. so the fact that nat claimed to have a name and an alignment just doesn’t make sense based on the death reveal.[/quote]
Natlaw’s full claim gave a method by which he might learn a player’s name. The fact that I have never heard of a Watcher with that additional power before does not lead me to conclude that the power is impossible; indeed I think it a quite elegant beef-up of the Watcher power, who might often feel they’ve wasted time watching someone who sleeps.
On top of that, of course, it’s something you might want to give SAHM when they are looking for a person with a specific name.
Not much, no.
If I were SAHM, and knew who Aragorn was at the start of the game, he’d make a good target Night 1, unless he was the Doctor. But, then again, there are allegations that SAHM have a roleblocker (see Nanook’s morning report). If that’s the case, the RB blocks Aragorn while someone else kills him. All this follows nicely if you assume that Chronos is SAHM, since the evidence that Chronos did, in fact, know who Aragorn was on Day 1 is conclusive.
“We’ve been foolish,” said one member of the Alliance of Light.
“No, we’ve been cautious and protective,” replied another.
The Alliance, frustrated with their own inner-fighting, engaged in active discussion during the Day. Some were demanding and outspoken, while others remained nearly silent.
The decision came down to Peeker and Astralrejection. Both seemed suspicious to most, but Astral attracted more attention in the end.
Gradually, a low, gurgling, bubbling, hiss began to emit from Astral. It was clear that something was unusual.
“I am ancient……beyond all of you,” Astral said.
They immediately struck Astral down.
When Astral’s possessions were examined later, they found a tight string of sticky webs….with a message written in them.
The world was young, the mountains green,
No stain yet on the Moon was seen,
No words were laid on stream or stone
An ancient demon who feeds on bone
“Indeed, ancient,” mumbled one Alliance member.
**Astralrejection, who was Shelob, is now dead. Shelob was a secret member of the Servants of Darkness. ***
It is now Night Five. Day Six begins Saturday at Noon Eastern.
*Shelob was not initially aware of the other Servants of Darkness’ identities, nor were they of her identity. However, the Servants of Darkness found Shelob and she had joined their group already.
and i just have to say this. normally games start winding down around this point. but this beast seems to be picking up some steam. and tomorrow looks to be another round of fun in middle earth regardless of whether i am there or not.
