Well, maybe answers to questions from people who have never seen a single episode of the show.
I recorded this show without knowing whether it would be worth watching or not. Is there anything in it that would keep the interest of someone who has seen every episode of Lost, or is this one of those “bring the newbies up to speed” clip shows?
The latter. The best that can be said is that they stuck it on a Thursday night and didn’t use it as an episode in the regular Wednesday time slot.
I got the feeling that one of the reasons for the show was in answer to fans’ criticisms of “all questions and no answers.” They did a quick review of the many answers they have given us and that constantly presenting more mysteries was the premise of the show. They also assured viewers that by the end all past, present, and future mysteries would be answered.
I thought it was a really good clip show. The producers were pretty like able and seemed really excited about what was going on.
There was one interesting comment regarding the purgatory theory.
They said the Losties WERE alive, and were somewhere in the space-time continuum. The “Lost Time” theory gains steam…or they were jerking us around…
It was certainly better than some of the past clip shows. Nothing essential, but I found it entertaining enough. Heck, I don’t even know what ABC usually runs in this time period.
I thought I heard…
…somewhere in this space-time continuum.
Can anyone confirm?
Actually they said"this paste. I’m continue. Yum!"
I don’t know what it means either.
I may be paraphrasing.
You sure know how to wreck a nice beach!
I don’t think so. It sounds more like they are dismissing it. They are saying that it happens in the real world. Not purgatory, not a time warp, but the universe.
According to Lostpedia, the shocking new revelations we have learned from this episode:
I’ll give that that aspect of Locke’s character could turn interesting in the future, but come on…
Apparently they are repeating this, but in a full hour time slot this time.
So, who is going to sit through a full hour of this just to catch a possible 12 minutes of new stuff?
Me. ::sigh:: Yes, I have no life.
Yeah, I was wondering why the last showing was 45 minutes and this one will be an hour. I thought my DVR weirded out but I guess not.
I thought it was interesting, if not particularly fruitful. I’m looking forwrds to the big finale, and starting to get the Lost withdrawal shakes early. So when does it come back ? A short season starting in January <<shudder>> ??
No, it isn’t.
It’s a short season starting in February, actually.
We don’t subscribe to cable – Lost is a cable program over here – but a friend is a *Lost * freak and videotaped all three seasons. And so the wife and I recently watched all three over the course of a few months. This is a great show! And watching them straight through like that, we found it amusing how different extras pop up in the background all the time; not so noticeable, I guess, if you’re watching the episodes more spaced apart.
We can’t wait to see how this is going to continue from the third season’s end. (But we still won’t pay for cable.)
