LotR: Why didn't Sauron make Elven rings?

My point is that there shouldn’t be much of himself left to invest. If he had that much personal power, he wouldn’t have died the way he did in the first place. And anyway, wouldn’t he then have ended up in the Halls of Mandos?

Spoilers for the game: He died at Sauron’s hands, but then was summoned back by Sauron’s minions as an elf-ghost. Which he did not care for at all and it made him all crabby. Apologies if you already knew all that-I was unsure.

That’s not how elf souls work.

That’s pretty much what Celebrimbor says when it happens to him.

The rest of the Ring-Verse can’t have been composed before the forging of the One, because the Three were made in secret, and Sauron didn’t learn of them until he put on the One (and the elves promptly took off theirs).

(Mock anger) Well CLEARLY it is because it DID! PSHAW! (/MA)

Of corse, Saron did make elven rings. And then he wnt on to make sx mre.

Bravo!

For those less clever? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Of co(u)rse, Sa(u)ron did make el(e)ven rings. And then he w(e)nt on to make s(i)x m(o)re.

:open_mouth:

Bravo!

Is there an echo around here?
