The unlimited streaming video is free, as long as you have an Amazon Prime membership. You get a month-long trial membership when you buy a Kindle Fire.
The free apps are really free, no membership necessary, no time limit- other than the Free App of the Day, which is good for that day only.
Thanks! That is helpful although there used to be a more broken down by category (fiction, non-fiction, biographies) link but I can’t find it any more. Regardless, I still love the Fire but will probably not sign up for Prime.
I dunno. The kindle had a clickable icon that said Facebook built in, so I clicked it and signed in.
Thats likely the facebook mobile application (little blue box on the apps page) it appears to simply launch a regular web page to the ‘m.facebook.com’ address.
If you hit the menu button under that page, it brings up general browser settings that may help you here - but there should be a ‘logout’ button somewhere for facebook itself.
I opened m.facebook.com in a regular browser - the "logout’ link is at the very bottom of the page -
I would also suggest tweaking the browser settings to not remember username/passwords and other form related data, as that may be logging you back in as a ‘feature’.
