If you believe that there are $25 World Series Tickets at U.S. Cellular Field available, then you’ll believe anything.
Really, I missed the chance to go online today during the nerve wracking 18 minutes when tickets were available. My mind was on other things, like mind numbing pain or something like that. By the time I was functional (hours later) it was all over.
Sigh, it was not meant to be. I’ve not been a good enough Sox fan anyway. The Summer of '76 when they folded in August took a piece out of my heart that made it hard to be as fanatic as I used to be in my youth when my grandfathers on both sides explained the rules of my genetic and compasetic heritage.
Compasetic is my sniglet for my “South of Madison” Sox Fan Rule Orientation.
So, how many of you SDMB hardliners tried? Did any of you care?
I keep seeing these little ads for tickets and keep kicking on them. They are just ridiculous.
Half are just not credible. The rest are stratospheric.
Something had to give, hence this little post and its title.
What a great fantasy, eh?
Unfortunately, I don’t even meet my own criteria for deserving to get such largesse.
What does that say about me?
Oh for the old days.
Back in '59 you could still hop the fence I am told.
Any of you old enough to have done it?
