Lou Malnati's!

I had pizza for dinner the other night from the local pizza joint; leftover slices went into the fridge & became lunch; however, the leftovers weren’t nearly as good as fresh.
Is Lou’s making is specifically for shipping & having you complete the cooking process making it close to the restaurant experience or is it just good because you can’t get anything close to decent deep-dish where you live?

Malnati’s pizza’s are not pre-baked but are assembled, wrapped, and frozen (or frozen and wrapped?), then shipped. Cooking instructions are included. It’s very important that someone is available to recieve the cooler, or you may end up with soggy pizza. You can transfer the pizza’s to your freezer, or put them in the oven, depending on how hungry you are.

  • *How do you package perishable food items for transit?

We package all perishable food items in a foam cooler with enough dry ice to keep the contents cold for two full days of transit.

Some important information about the dry ice we use in our packages:
•Dry ice is extremely cold at -109.3°F!
•Any remaining dry ice in your package should be handled with care. Avoid contact with your skin.
•Don’t see any dry ice left? It’s OK! We expect the dry ice to evaporate during transit.
•We guarantee that your items will still be frozen or cool to the touch upon delivery.
•If you are not ready to enjoy your items just yet, place the contents in the freezer.
Our method for packaging and shipping our products has been tried and tested many times. We are completely confident that your package will arrive cold to the touch and ready to enjoy. If you are not satisfied, please contact us.

  • I am sending a package as a gift. What do I need to know?

We strongly advise you notify the recipient that a perishable package is coming. Due to the time sensitive nature of our frozen products, UPS always delivers them without a signature. It would be a crying shame if the food went bad because no one knew it was coming!*
