Lounge/Hip-hop soundz

My two favorite styles of music for a long while have been hip-hop and lounge-core. It always sounds amazing when someone combines the two- like the outro of Bobby James** by NERD, or the Lovage album, or Happy End of the World by Pizzicato Five. But it seems like not many performers really combine the two styles, and when they do it is a one-off thing, anybody out in doper land have some suggestions?

I can think of specific songs–

“Lucas with the Lid Off” by Lucas
That song on Soul Coughing’s first album that sampled the Andrews Sisters
“Swing Set” by Jurassic 5

–Then there’s stuff like Kinky and Plastilina Mosh and Steroid Maximus and Ursula 1000: bands (or artists) that are kind of like Pizzicato 5 and create a neo-lounge sound out of samples and stuff. All highly recommended.

How about “Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)” by Us3? Not exactly lounge, more of a jazz/hip-hop cross, but you might find it interesting. I don’t particularly like hip-hop, but this piece of music showed me some of the possibilities of using that type of rhyming as a sort of rhythmic counterpoint to the instrumentals.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I love J5s Swing Set, and I’m almost positive I’ve heard the Soul Coughing track you’re talking about, Lissener.
I started this thread because I was listening to the NER*D album earlier today, and the whole thing is pretty good- then it gets to that last track and a half and damn… that is a cool sound.
