Lovecraft is missing

I’m not really sure what is going on here, but I’d like to discuss it.

It seems to be a Scooby Doo reference. The bad guy has dressed up like Cthulu and kidnapped H.P. Lovecraft, and the good guys have saved Lovecraft and figured out who Cthulu really was.

Thanks.
I wonder if the Priest’s name has any significance.

So is that the end of the strip? Lovecraft is no longer missing, apparently…

I believe this was simply a scooby doo-themed halloween spoof, not in continuity.

What’s the priest’s name?

“Jinkies.”
Today’s comic is listed as Happy Halloween Crossover, so perhaps Daerlyn is correct.

Father Jackey, actualy. Link

Jinkies isn’t his name. He’s saying “Jinkies!” because Velma on Scooby Doo used to say “Jinkies!” all the time.

I have never seen Scooby Doo, and I am proud.

I thought Jinkies a breakfast cereal.

Hi, folks, Larry Latham here, writer and illustrator of Lovecraft is Missing. The Halloween page was just a fun thing to do, and has absolutely no bearing on the continuity of the strip. My pal
eric and I just traded strips for the week. Next Friday’s LIM strip will pick right up with the story and move forward to the conclusion of issue 3

Only when Johnny Bravo’s involved.

Thanks for the heads-up.

It’s always nice to get the info straight from the horse’s mouth.
