Loving him is red lyrics - much deepness?

I’ve been listening to this quite a lot at the moment, semi-voluntarily at best. I have taken the time to look up the lyrics to check that they are what I thought I was hearing, which is about right. They don’t exactly seem amazing. Is there some super duper depth to these that I’m not aware of, or are they as they seem basically words stuffed together to go with an admittedly very catchy song?

I’m going to assume that the OP is talking about this song, the title track from Taylor Swift’s latest album.

It’s not exactly the deepest song I’ve ever heard, but the lyrics make enough sense on the surface, and the basic conceit of comparing phases of a relationship to colors and various life experiences is well executed.

Taylor Swift, deep?
