Low-Flow Toilets

I am honored that my first post ever to this board has been resurected, for at least a short amount of time.

…and just to keep inline with the OP, since I first posted this, I still haven’t seen a low-flow toilet that didn’t require 2 flushes to totaly remove all of the … uh… “sold” waste.

“Maybe I have misread the posts above, but don’t you people have dual flush toilets?”

Sure do, Im in California & I converted my toilet during a drought to that for a few bucks. One small handle for a little water for pee, & then a big handle for a big flush.

I installed an “American Standard” Pressure Assisted toilet a few years back. A pressure tank hold water at line pressure. Tripping he valve forces the water into the bowl and down the chute. Works great. One flush and everything is gone. It’s a little loud, but it does the job.

Here’s a site http://www.terrylove.com/crtoilet.htm with lots of good information on low flow toilets.

TOLO toilets from Japan are supposed to work very well too.

You guys are missing the biggest problem with low-flow toilets. They make the bubble-game obsolete. :frowning: Back in the day of the real man’s toilet, There was probably a good square foot of surface area, making it a respectable challenge. Now these low-flow jobs have have only a couple square inches of surface area, so any idiot with no technique can bubble the whole thing.
