Low Grade Fever, what's it mean?

I’m getting over a wicked cold, that started in my throat then moved quickly to my nose and then my chest, where it would seem to have taken up residence.
I’m drinking lots of liquids, taking neocitron at night, taking my vitamins etc. I’m usually a pretty good healer and felt I was recovering well.
But I seem to have hit a wall now, I’m busy getting ready to move house in two days, have lots of stess etc.
The only symptom I still have is a low grade fever, but I have no idea what this means. Oh, and I feel like crap, of course.
Anybody have any idea what this indicates? I’ve been taking aspirin but it doesn’t seem to be helping.
I just can’t get to the doctor just now and was wondering if any of you had any ideas. Is it important, should I get to the doctor, or just bide my time and hope it will pass with time?

Advise?
Anyone?

What do you mean by a “low-grade” fever? Do you have any other symptoms? If you go to rationalmedicine.org, there’s a good discussion about evaluating patients who have a fever and no other symptoms.

In my IANADY opinion, though, if you’re sick enough to go to a doctor then you should go and not listen to anyone on the SDMB, and if you aren’t sick enough to go to a doctor then you should have a couple of drinks and see if you don’t feel better. If the drinks make you feel better, please send me the amount of money that your doctor charges for an office visit.
