Lowest-priced vehicles with at least six seats

Negotiable like anything else. See Edmunds; they show Private Party, Dealer, and Certified Pre-Owned average prices for your zip code. The CPO price will be highest because of the extensive inspection program and selection criteria for eligible trade-ins. NOTE: Some dealers have their own “certification” program. This is not the manufacturer’s program. Buyer beware.

Opinion - go with a Minivan if fixing your current vehicle is out. I agree with above opinions that repair/refurbish is the way to go. My last new vehicle purchased was a Honda Civic back in 1989 - my ex still drives it past 275,000 miles.

If you are thinking along the CPO route, you might also want to look into rental fleet sales too. They have a bazillion basic minivans in their fleets and usually sell them with relatively low mileage and take pretty good care of them. Just checking the Hertz site, it looks like you can get a 2 or 3 year old Mazda 5 or Caravan with a few dozen K’s on the clock for about $15-17k which isn’t a bad discount.

Hell no, maybe 8k. 10k maybe if it was in really good condition (absolutely clear of rust, evidence of regular oil changes, etc.)
