A report today indicates that LOX could be a component of the liquid explosive mix.
Problem is handling and carrying on board a plane.
A passenger with limited breathing capacity carries portable LOX dispensers.
Or a good thermos to control evaporation.
How else could LOX be carried aboard an ariliner ?
You could use a gas cylinder rather than liquid, if that’s still allowed. Aircraft used to, and maybe still do, have a small tank on board for emergency use.
There are oxygen enrichment systems that operate by removing Nitrogen from the ambiant air, thereby increasing the Oxygen concentration. I’m not sure how much enrichment occurs, but some military aircraft use this system rather than a liquid oxyen tank. I don’t know if these are portable though. The ones on aircraft use engine bleed air for their source.
My understanding is that you can’t bring your own oxygen onboard. If you need it, the airline will provide it for you, but charge you. And I also believe that they’re not providing liquid oxygen, but gaseous oxygen that’s in a cylinder.
