Lsass.exe? Computer shutdown problem

The past few days my computer has been shutting down a few times a day. A box pops up saying, paraphrased–

" system is shutting down, save any unsaved work. C/Windows/System32/lsass.exe has terminated unexpectedly with status code 128"

And then a little timer ticks off 60 seconds and the computer restarts. I poked around the pathway listed, but it looks to be a MS file. Anyone have any ideas on this? I’ve also been having some problems with my CD drive, could this be connected?
I’m frustrated and about to give in and hire someone to come look at it, but I’m pretty poor so I figured it was worth at least asking in the hopes that it might be something I can tinker with myself. :slight_smile:
Any ideas?
