Lunch Recomendations?

I need some ideas for a around a 300 calorie lunch that I can eat on the go. I usually try to walk 4 miles or so during lunch and have a tuna sandwich, but I’m getting sick of tuna. Would love peanut butter but too much calories, ( I’m trying to exercise more and eat less). Any thoughts on an easy to prepare, portable, low cal lunch. I was also thinking of 3 hard boil eggs would make a good alternate.
Thanks for your thoughts

How about some sliced turkey rolled up in a whole wheat or low fat tortilla with some lettuce/tomato, etc?

I also used to take a lot of salads for lunch, topped with some turkey breast or ham and whatever I was using for dressing on the side (in a small container of it’s own…I didn’t add it until I was ready to eat). I usually threw in a piece of string cheese or a few whole wheat crackers, too.

That’s exactly what I was going to suggest Cherry2000, the turkey roll-up. I eat one every day–cheap, healthy, easy to make, easy to eat. I don’t know if you have calories to spare, but add a slice of pepper cheese and it’s just perfect.

pepperland cheese, by any chance?

I find turkey rollups to be an easy & low-cal lunch. I tend to bulk out my rollups with sliced bell pepper, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, basically any fresh veggie I have on hand, or pickles, olives, roasted red pepper, roasted garlic if I have any.

I will also sometimes do veggies & cheese.

I also love to smear some hummus on a rollup, then dump on a bunch of tabbouleh & roll that up with some bell pepper & cucumber.

Other ideas: greek salad in a pita - open the pita pocket & put in salad fixings, some feta and a smidge of greek dressing.

Boca veggie burgers are easy to microwave in their little plastic sleeve. Nuke it, slap it on a bun & away you go.

If you have a Trader Joe’s nearby, try their Better Than Peanut Butter. It’s peanut butter with added peanut flour & other stuff to stretch it out & reduce its calorie count. It’s not too bad if you don’t eat it all by itself.

Whatever leftovers you have on hand rolled up in a tortilla.

I eat raw almonds and dried apricots for lunch. A qtr cup of each, combined, is about 270 calories.
