Lyndon Larouch and the

Somehow I thought LaRouche was dead. I must be thinking of Pat Paulsen.

Funny, I feel the same way about Republicans. But, seeing as how these deluded seniors would probably vote for Bush if there was no LaRouche, I say “Shine on, you crazy diamond!”

LaRouche encompasses & transcends Left/Right US politics. In the 1960s, he organized the Trotskyite ultra-left US Labor Party, while through the 1970s, he adopted a parody of Birchite CFR-Conspiracy Theory & a hardline anti-Soviet stance to appeal to fringe conservatives. By the early 80s, he was waxing eloquent about Platonic, Classical Music loving, Spiritual Idealism (his side) against Aristotelian, Romanticist/Rock music-making, materialist empiricism (the British Royal-Masonic-Zionist-debauched-racist-drug pushing-Satanic-Rockefeller- irrationalist-Christian fundamentalist, etc etc coalition against Western civilization).

The John Birch Society in the mid-70s was warning their sympathisers about getting caught up with him.

So? In Canada, there’s at least one chance in a hundred to happen upon an American. I’ve seen LaRouchers in Sweden. No jokes.
