Lynn Bodoni memorial fundraiser for Child's Play

Hi all,

I wanted to pass on that I received a note from Lynn’s sister.

I am Jeanna’s (Lynn Bodoni’s) sister, and want to personally thank you for setting up the memorial fund and choosing such a great cause. Jeanna spent entirely too much of her short life in poor health, and she would have wanted to give kids in poor health an escape from their maladies.

When I mentioned to her husband and daughter that a fund had been set up for such a purpose in her memory, their faces lit up and they agreed that it was very thoughtful and appropriate.

I have maintained a low profile here, and ask that you respect my privacy. Feel free to share my sentiments, but not my identity.

Thank you again for your efforts. It is a huge comfort to see my sister remembered.

I’m very proud of our community for raising nearly $2,000 to comfort sick kids, and additionally providing comfort to Lynn’s family. Thanks, everyone, who participated in any way. I’m leaving the fundraiser open for any stragglers who haven’t had a chance yet or who may not visit the boards as frequently.

Just wanted to send a BIG thank you for the wonderful donation we received today. Somehow each year it comes when we are least thinking about it and is a lovely surprise! Thank you for continuing to support our efforts to have games, movies and systems available for our patients. Just the other day I walked in to a patient’s room and he immediately started crying but when I mentioned that I had a Nintendo DS (from Child’s Play a few years ago) to lend him, he smiled and calmed down immediately. His mom couldn’t believe it as it was the first time she had seen him smile since arriving at the hospital. Thank you so much for your continued support!
