MacBook Pro hard drive needs replacing.

It is four years old. Apple Service center is suggesting 480 SATA 3.0 SSD, series V300. Will I be happy with it? Thanks

Yes.

I would recommend a Samsung 840 (or 850) EVO drive - find out what brand they are planning on installing…

The brand is Kingston.

Kingston has a pretty good reputation.
Make sure this has the three-year warranty.
Also, having an SSD does not mean you don’t need a backup! (I had an SSD fail - bad controller - every scrap of data irretrievable).

I’d say it’s an OK deal.
