With Rangers relegated to the fourth tier of Scots footie it might be time to reignite this feud.
My parents took me to the highland games near Bellingham, Washington (USA) in the early 2000s, and the programme had a story about Campbell & MacDonald (something that happened at the prior highland games). The story went like this:
Campbell apparently had long accused MacDonald of stealing their coos (cows). So to make amends with Campbell, MacDonald purchased a plushy coo and presented it to Campbell in their clan tent. That night, MacDonald broke into the Campbell tent and stole the coo. The following day, during the clan parade, MacDonald could be seen marching with the newly stolen coo, which they had defaced with MacDonald symbols.
I don’t know if the story is true, but it was fun to read anyway.
If you want to get some serious injury in Glasgo, just walk into the wrong pub wearing a green shirt.
Did ye, aye?
Edit: heh, this is an old thread
