I loved Nat the dog walker (Hank Azaria). It’s sad that his and Helen Hunt’s marriage only lasted a year though.
Oneof the best monents of the shoow us when their moher Sylvia is about to kill herself when the daughter comes out until she learns the girlfriend is a doctor.

I still love Mad About You, and it’s because as pointless as the plots were, they were just the backdrop for Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt to wisecrack. There were so many unrelated jokes during a conversation that the story didn’t matter. For instance, Paul and Jamie were walking along the sidewalk talking about something, and Paul stops, looks down, and says, “What did I step in, veal?”
Yes.
“Did we have another one of those fights where I wasn’t there?”
The most stupid plot that I recall was the doorknob breaking off the bathroom door, trapping them inside.
I remember one where Helen Hunt is complaining to someone (her sister?) about always having to save her. It went something like:
Hunt: “Meanwhile, I’m always following you around with a net!”
Other: “Who is Annette?”
