I’ve always wondered about those multi bladed razors…When the lead blade gets dull it starts hacking at your skin right? No matter that the second and third blades are still in good shape, if the first one goes south then you’re SOL.
I use the old Atra myself. I get generic blades for about a 1/4 the price of the brand name ones.
The OP must be one of those Gramercy Park types who looks down their noses at the people in Harlem.
I’m thinking of Monty Python:
“Use Crelm! Crelm toothpaste, with the new miracle ingredient Fraudulin!”
My favorite commercial of the past decade:
“Got a headache? Try Ibeloaphin III. Ibeloaphin III is better than the leading brand. Why? Because it has an extra ingredient to make it better. What is this extra ingredient? Look at this chart: Most pain relievers contain some ingredients. But new Ibeloaphin III contains the same ingredients, plus an extra ingredient that makes it better. Ibeloaphin III.”
WTF?
As my statistics teacher used to preach to us: don’t pay attention unless it says “significantly different”. Apparently, the companies really get mauled if they say those words and it is (statistically) untrue.
So, unless the item is “significantly different/improved/whatever,” stick with the version you’ve got.
