No, its typical. There’s a lot of evidence to support that, from elected officials mouthing off about people with big calves, to their constituents like magellan talking about dumb black people, to their horribly non-inclusive policies that force blacks and other minorities into more restricted voting schedules. By themselves, each one of those things are bad, but all together and happening for decades it establishes the GOP as a party of racists. In the other topic, I touched upon how the party can be racist even though some individuals are not. This thing you do defending them only serves to address one possible path of racism and that is if their membership is majority racist. It doesn’t address how supposedly non-racist members of their party do not do much to fight back against it, or that the GOP consistently puts out racist platforms and bills.
The posts quoting your words, along with the ones in the OP, already prove this. Its not my job to convince you of that, and you’re too stupid to be convinced anyways. Its my job to warn others about you so they won’t be taken in by your pretend bullshit ignorance stance.
But you already knew that.
Instead, I’ll ask you to consider something. Consider that blacks, in general, are smarter than you, and that you’re wrong regarding any kind of Democratic brainwashing scheme. Instead consider that you just don’t get it. Now try to look at it from their point of view, believe what they do, and act as they do and vote democratic. The world would be better off. People would be richer. You would be happier. So go out and do that. Its not too late for you
I don’t understand this paragraph from the article:
…yeah, it was used in 19th century Uncle Remus African American folklore stories to mean “sticky situation.” It wasn’t a racist term just because it may have started with 19th century blacks. This is like saying “Though the Yiddish phrase X can mean Y, it was also used by Jews imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps”, and expecting the reader to react negatively, even though the Jews were mundanely using X to mean, well, Y.
I hope you don’t have any weekend plans, YogSosoth- this might take a while! On the other hand, I can imagine getting hours of entertainment from lance strongarm vs. The Second Stone.
Then it doesn’t make sense, because all your link does is suggest that there’s a possibility an illegal immigrant might someday go to a health care facility that the ACA provided some amount of funding too.
That doesn’t show that Obama lied one iota.
That’s not what he claimed, and even if it was, your cite is specious. By the logic of your cite, every time a library is funded, illegal immigrants are funded. Every time a bridge or a highway is funded, illegal immigrants are funded.
It’s just ridiculous, and you know it.
Are you even capable of admitting you’re wrong? Because this strikes me as a pretty good time. It’s just not reasonable to claim that because a health care facility that illegal immigrants may go to get care gets some money from the ACA, that the ACA funds illegal immigrants.
No, it doesn’t do that. There are MILLIONS of Republicans. Those who you accuse of racism might disagree, if you gave them the chance. And they might point to explicit policies or statements denouncing racism.
There’s no question that racism is a problem in the GOP. But branding the entire party as "racist’ is absurd.
Yep, and then there is that cite from Michelle Malkin…
There is a thread going on in GD about that old “will someone think of the children” red herring. It is clear that if children are not involved it is indeed a red herring, and this is a case were indeed it is proper to mention it.
Michelle Malakin does not deserve to call herself a human being. She completely left that inconvenient part that in Oregon it was deemed proper to offer state health care to expectant mothers, that is:** future Americans**. There is no reason for the state to not put those expectant mothers back into the state program also. And there is no reason why I should not assume that Michelle Malkin had dark and misleading intentions when she “forgot” to tell her readers the whole history.
She is such a tool that even Rationalwiki has an entry on her trolling.
And, oh yeah, to show the nativist “fake environmentalist” connections that Malakin also has, she denies the human pollution that is causing global warming. You can indeed see the dark bubble of information the ones indirectly defending the target of the pit rely on.
That struggle to take over the Sierra club with racist elements failed. But it still spawned many fake environmentalists attempting to “spread the word”. It was and is prejudice with another name.
You remember it wrong, as we’ve shown. Even the cite offered by Shodan only claimed that there is a possibility that illegal immigrants may go to a health care facility that receives funds from the ACA.
Doesn’t matter, those millions vote for the policies put out by the few Republicans on record as saying racist things and promoting a racist agenda. And as we all know, no matter how bad one of the big 2 parties are, there’s about a 20-30% population that will vote for them. I think somebody called it the Crazy factor. So we can definitively say that a full 20% of the voting population is racist since they continue to vote for the GOP despite all the racist things coming out of that party for the last few decades. And given that the GOP gets about 47% percent of the voting population (thanks Mitt!), then I can say for sure that about two thirds of GOP voters are racist
Every Republican votes for racist candidates? You’ve proven that all these candidates are racist? And you applied reasonable standards for racism, rather than the absurd standards typically applied today by liberals, including here?
(I speak as a liberal myself).
No.
You haven’t even begun to make a case. Your standards are incredibly low. It’s shit.
Seriously, by WAY overstating your case, all you do is draw attention away from the real, actual racists in the GOP. There are more than enough to hurt the party as a whole, you don’t need to help them. Let them hang themselves.
Oh, yes, the Crazy factor, established in a comprehensive study by Dr. Raymond Crazy that examined voting patterns in hundreds of elections and proved this. :smack:
Because you pulled some numbers out of your ass?
And let’s look at this - you’ve gone from “the party is racist” to “20% of the part is racist.” Did you even notice yourself sliding?
God, this is so profoundly stupid I don’t know what else to say. You are just making up shit.
That what I say doesn’t make sense to you is indeed unsurprising. You’re the biggest blindest partisan these boards currently know, yet you feel qualified to judge other people’s partisanship constantly. So no, I’m not particularly worried by the cognitive dissonance you might experience.
Actually the numbers came from the senate election of Obama vs. Alan Keyes.
It has been seen mostly as a very clever theorem by many, but there are more serious political writers that wonder if that was more than just an observation applicable only to Illinois.
