THe person who makes money is the person who puts out the original ad.
I placed an ad offering my services as a housecleaner. The few people who responded were all cracked in one way or another.
the one i’ve seen is where you buy a 900 line, and put an ad in papers for it, people are supposed to call the number, and part of the money they’re paying goes to you, so the idea is, the more ads you place, the more money you can make, but i haven’t been willing to try it.
I’ve been meaning for decades to start a curse-removal business and advertise it in the back of the Weekly World News. But it would require an investment (PO box, ads, phony mojos) so I never did.
Now I’m thinking of going with a website and spam the universe for free. Watch your mailboxes!
