Absolutely not. Primates and most other animals with external ducting (as opposed to sheathing) have foreskins. The invention of zippers several millennia ago started the surgical removal process we see today.

I posted to this thread, too (saying something along the lines of what tc said, so no major loss), and got the “the page cannot be found” thingy that suggests either a) your post went through, but is lost in limbo; or b) your post did not go through, and the boards are so effing slow right now you won’t be able to tell for a while. I was tempted to hit “submit” again–and we would have had 3 double posters in a row.

Hmmm…actually, the clitoris has an analog to the penis in that it is normally buried to a greater or lesser extent in what is termed the hood. In fact, some females have a hood that covers the clitoris to such an extent that it is “circumcised” in order to enhance sensations. BTW, this is a normal western medicine procedure, and should not be confused with so-called “female circumcision”…the pupose of which seems to be to reduce or eliminate sensations in the female…but that is a whole different topic.
Oh…as others have said, humans are not the only animals with a protective covering on the flaccid penis. Check out male dogs and bulls. In these cases, the penis is contained within a sheath, probably for protection, and emerges when the animal is sexually aroused.
This is absolutely bizzare.
