My first thought is – Malicious Castration? Do you real;ly need the modifier? Can you imagine anyone being charged with Friendly Castration?
(Actually, having read some folks’ fantasies, I can. But that’s gotta be a minority)
No doubt there’s some legal reason for putting that “Malicious” in there, but would’ve thought that was understood. Nobody gets charged with Malicious Murder, after all.
I’m also slightly bugged that they apply the term “castration” to the (fortunately for the guy) attempt. But why not call it “Attempted Castration” , which seems closer to the truth than “Malicious Castration”?
Yi. the word “malicious” got my attention as well (not to say that the word “castration” didn’t).
Maybe it was a half-castration, a halfstration, if you will. Maybe it was some sort of Gregor Mendel pea-pod-type experiment, where the “peas” would split off and make new ones.
Okay, I’m talking out of my ass. There’s no way to congenially rob a man of his boys.
Old joke:
Bloke goes to his doctor and asks to be castrated.
“Why? You are a perfectly healthy young man. As a medical professional, I can’t in any sort of conscience allow this.”
“No, I’m decided. I WANT to be castrated. If you won’t do it, I’ll find a doctor who will!”
“Very well. I’ve know you for a long time, and you do seem sensible. I’ll book you in to hospital.”
In hospital, waking up from the anaesthetic after the operation, our hero turns to the guy in the next bed: “What are you in for?”
*“I was circumcised.” *
:smack: “AARGH! THAT’S THE WORD I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!”

[quote]
Tammy Felbaum (née Thomas Wyda) was sent to prison after the friendly castration of her husband which resulted in his death (bled out).
Tammy was born male and transitioned after castrating herself, then castrated her husband apparently with his consent.
Does it get weirder?
Yes it does. This was her second husband who allowed her to castrate him. She first castrated husband Lynn Barner in 1983. Lynn has not had SRS but lives as a woman. Sixth husband and second husband to be castrated James Felbaum apparently left a note giving Tammy permission to castrate him. She was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in his death and was sentenced to 5.5 to 11 years in prison.
Weird stuff, catsix, but, as I say in the line after the one you quoted, I can imagine “friendly” castration. Although I’m sure most of the folks I’ve read with this fantasy would prefer it remain fantasy, I had no doubt someone practiced it. But not enough to require that modifier “Malicious” for the geberal case.
I have a particular aversion to slashing injuries above most others, but the sympathy pains I’m getting just thinking about the idea of someone trying to pull it out like a root is…
Oh, Og. Oh. Cheeses good lord 'n butter, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow…
Is she mentally ill? Or criminally insane or just a date from the first circle of hell? There has to be some kind of “reason” for her behavior-not excuse, not justification, but “reason”.
My mind is boggling at the visual I’m getting. I hope he fought her off. Jesus.
Maybe it’s just here in NC we need the modifier. A year or so ago we had a guy up in the mountains arrested for performing the “friendly” version, in a practicing medicine without a license kind of way. These people do not make me proud.
