Well, arguably illegal aliens. I mean, if they had valid visas, wouldn’t they already be decontaminated, and this wouldn’t be a concern:
To combat this driving concern of his, Mr. Peckman has begun the process to force a ballot initiative to force the city of Denver to set up a commission dealing with space aliens.
My favorite quote from the piece isn’t actually the one that I listed above, but the line from the Assistant City Attorney: “I don’t know what we’re going to ask him yet.”
The annoying thing, to my mind is the line in the article that seems to set up trivializing the man’s ideas because of his circumstances, rather than on the basis of the idea, itself. Fairly soon into the article the reporter mentions that Peckman is 54 yo and living at home with his parents. I am disturbed by how this technique could be used to trivialize someone with a good idea - and at the same time, this idea is so clearly FUBAR that I really can’t say it’s without merit to mention as a potential explanation for how an alleged adult could see fit to waste time and resources on this idea.
