Apparently of a head injury.

Though most folks probably know him for the Dragonball franchise, my personal introduction was the Dragon Quest series of video games. I was and am a huge fan of that franchise, and I’m saddened to hear the news. I’m going to miss his influence on video games.

He was also the character designer for Chrono Trigger, which was and still is one of the greatest video games ever made for any system and any genre.
