Well, he’s wearing a robe, but I’m pretty sure that he’s got a shirt and tie under that, no jacket.
As a Canadian lawyer, I’ve had to wear proper barristers’ robes before, complete with collar tabs, etc. Those things are heavy and hot!

Rookie mistake I made the first time I put on a robe to sit as a judge pro tem. It was Hot. I quickly learned to remove my jacket first.
Mechan said the courthouse was constructed in 1941 and the heating/cooling options are sweltering hot or cold as ice. He chooses to be cold rather than sweaty.
from cnn:
Cohen checked “No” on a form that asked if the entity, Resolution Consultants LLC, which was created by him as a Delaware entity, is “associated with political fundraising/Political Action Committee (PAC).”
Farro testified several times that his understanding was that Cohen was opening the account for “real estate.”
Per the paperwork, Cohen described the entity’s function to be “management consulting (including HR & marketing).”
Cohen was the only authorized signatory for the account.
Farro says that the bank “did all of our work to establish” Cohen’s account, but it was never funded. "
“A deposit was never made in the account so the account never went live,” Farro says, confirming the account was not opened.
rc comment: the robe is the jacket.

Farro says the bank “did all of our work to establish” Cohen’s original account, but it was never funded.
“A deposit was never made in the account, so the account never went live,” Farro says.
Thirteen days later, on October 26, 2016, Farro received another email from his assistant to return Michael Cohen’s call, according to the court exhibit.
“He stated he was changing course and no longer wanted to open Resolution Consultants, and wanted to open a new account,” Farro says.
“Every time Michael Cohen spoke to me he gave a sense of urgency and this was one of those times.”
The new LLC was Essential Consultants LLC, Farro says. This is the LLC that Cohen used to pay Stormy Daniels the $130,000 payment.
gavel down for today. back on monday.
And that’s a wrap for the week. Farro will be back on Monday with more direct examination
Yep.
Trump’s appearance outside of court.
“Biden indictment, nothing like this has ever happened, economy falling apart, college campuses closed, everything going to hell. My poll numbers are great, I’ve invited Biden to debate. This is a well coordinated attack on a political opponent. I’ll be in Michigan next week. There are no jobs there, they’ve all gone to China, it’s Biden’s EV mandate. So I’ll gladly debate him there. You just tell me where. But Biden won’t debate. And we don’t see him here [in New York]. Sorry you all have to suffer through this, every legal scholar agrees this should never have been brought. [Bunch of names, supposedly legal scholars] say this should never have been brought.”
Phew!
Not sure why he thinks Biden should be in New York, except it likely reinforces his belief that “this case is Biden’s doing,” and he probably expects Biden to show up to watch how well his evil plot is unfolding.
I’ll stop trying to predict witnesses from here on out!
They are being very methodical. By the time we get to the key players here - Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen - the jury will have heard a bunch of people who have already confirmed the broad outlines of the story.
It’s damn hard to impeach somebody like Michael Cohen or Stormy Daniels as a damned liar when they are just adding details to what has already been established. By people who keep records.
By the end of which you’re wishing you were dead.
True dat!
Biden said he’d be happy to. Bluff called!
Regardless of why the courtroom is cold, why doesn’t Trump wear a heavier suit, particularly one with a vest?
(If he keeps on whining about how cold the courtroom is, I think Bernie Sanders ought to gift him a pair of mittens.)
You just created a meme!
Someone’s got to be creative enough to make it happen!
Trump in the courtroom, Bernie mittens, maybe frosty breath…
I think it was Jesse Watters who said how cruel it was to for an athletic and intellectual man like Trump to sit there are day was cruel. I couldn’t help but laugh at that.
I was tempted to take the infamous Sanders photo, skew it horizontally (to make everything look wider), and then tint the face orange, but this isn’t the Pit so such a thing doesn’t belong here.
It never fails to amuse and annoy me that Trump is supposed to be so macho yet whines about every little thing. I mean, there are so many other people in that courtroom, he’s not sitting in there all by himself to suffer.
I mean, there’s precedent:
Don’t forget the long-sleeved waistcoat underneath the robe!
I don’t find it bad when I’m on my feet, chatting with the judge, but sometimes sitting there, listening to my learned friends drone on and on make lengthy submissions, and I’m close to nodding off.
Two tidbits I don’t see mentioned.
One, she acknowledged that she was being represented by a lawyer hired by the trump organization. And, two, donald started to hug her as she walked past him.
She’s clearly not a person sympathetic to the DA. She’s just an unimpeachable witness who confirmed the fact that donald had a relationship (of some sort) with both McDougal and Daniels (they were in his contact list, and Daniels visited him at his office)
And SOUP!
No soup for Trump! One year!
